Your Voice Matters. Your Vote Matters.

By John Faulkner

Over the years, I’ve heard many people say, “My vote doesn’t matter,” or “Politics never changes anything.” If you’ve ever felt that way, I understand. But I also know this:

If you don’t vote, someone else will decide your future for you. Decisions about your job, your healthcare, your children’s education, your retirement, your taxes, and your community will be made by those who choose to participate.

Silence is also a vote. When we choose not to participate, we allow others to speak for us.

If you’re frustrated with the direction of our country, don’t give up. Participate. Voting is how we turn frustration into action. It is how ordinary people hold leaders accountable and help shape the future.

History has never been changed by the people who stayed home. It has always been changed by ordinary citizens who showed up.

Every generation is handed a ballot and asked one simple question: What kind of America will you leave behind for your children and grandchildren?

Whether this will be your first vote or your fiftieth, I encourage you to make your voice heard. Register if you haven’t. Show up on Election Day. Encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to do the same.

Because our democracy works best when all of us participate.

People Over Politics isn’t just a slogan. It’s a commitment to putting people first, listening to every voice, and remembering that government works best when the people are engaged.

Stand up. Show up. Vote. Your voice matters.
