Christians around the world pause on Good Friday to honor the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, a moment that in Christian faith represents sacrifice, forgiveness and redemption.
The day leads into Easter Sunday, when believers celebrate the resurrection and the promise of new life.
Across generations and denominations, Good Friday and Easter carry deeply personal meaning.
For some, it is a time of reflection and gratitude. For others, it offers an opportunity to reconnect with faith traditions or family worship.
In a recent post on my personal social media page, I asked, “What does Easter mean to you?”
The responses reflected a wide range of emotions, from renewal and peace to unconditional love.

Local churches are also preparing for the weekend, hosting sunrise services, community gatherings and worship events to mark the resurrection.
Many believers say this season reminds them of hope and perseverance, lessons that resonate far beyond church walls.

As we observe Good Friday and look toward Easter Sunday, we are reminded of grace, rebirth and community.
I invite readers to share their reflections in the comments. What does Easter mean to you today?
