Stretching Before Strength

By Dr. Tabatha Pittman

Growth stretches us.

Emotionally. Spiritually. Mentally.

And stretching can feel uncomfortable.

When muscles grow, they resist. When faith grows, it is tested. When character grows, it is refined.

This is not punishment; it is preparation.

Many people misinterpret stretching as struggle. But what if it is expansion? What if the tension you feel is evidence that God is enlarging your capacity?

Resurrection hope reminds us that growth often follows pressure.

You may be carrying new responsibilities, facing unfamiliar decisions, and learning to trust in deeper ways. That is stretching.

Do not shrink back.

God would not stretch you into spaces He has not already equipped you to inhabit.

The discomfort is temporary. The strength will remain.

This week, instead of resisting growth, lean into it. Ask God for clarity. Ask Him for endurance.

You are not breaking.

You are becoming stronger.

Until tomorrow—stay anchored, stay hopeful, and hold on to Yeshua.
