Summer Heat Makes a Comeback Tuesday

Fall may be on the calendar, but Tuesday will remind Simpson County that summer is not ready to give up.

Mostly sunny skies are expected across the area, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the 90 to 92 degree range.

Morning temperatures will also be a little warmer than Monday, starting in the lower 60s.

The combination of sunshine and warmer temperatures will make Tuesday feel more like late summer than early fall.

That is not unusual for central Mississippi.

The transition from September into October rarely happens all at once. Instead, warm afternoons can continue while mornings slowly begin to feel more comfortable.

Wednesday will follow a similar pattern, with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures.

The bigger change arrives later in the week as moisture begins increasing and rain chances return.

For now, Tuesday looks like another day for sunshine and summer-like heat.

That’s your Williams Weather Window for Simpson County.
