Friday Continues the Pattern of Somewhat Cooler Temperatures
SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss. — Friday will continue the somewhat less extreme weather pattern that begins Thursday.
Expect more clouds than sunshine, with another chance for scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
The high should reach approximately 96 degrees, followed by an overnight low around 73 degrees.
While temperatures will remain well above normal for many people, the forecast represents a significant improvement from the triple-digit heat experienced earlier in the week.
High humidity will continue to make conditions feel hotter than the actual temperature, so heat precautions will still be necessary, particularly during the afternoon.
The Williams Weather Window Bottom Line
Friday keeps Simpson County in the mid-90s rather than the triple-digit temperatures seen earlier in the week.
High: Around 96°
Low: Around 73°
Rain chance: Scattered afternoon thunderstorms
The heat isn’t gone, but the most extreme portion of this week’s heat appears to be easing.
For now, enjoy the relative relief, keep an eye on the sky and continue taking sensible precautions against the Mississippi summer heat.
