Mississippi Life Alliance will host a free back to school giveaway Saturday at the Magee Public Library, offering backpacks and school supplies to local families as students prepare for the new school year.
The event, organized through the organization’s Porchlight Initiative, is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library. The giveaway is open to all and is designed to help ease the financial burden many families face during the back to school season.
Attendees can receive backpacks filled with essential classroom supplies, including composition books, crayons, glue sticks and tissues. Families will also have an opportunity to meet members of the Mississippi Life Alliance team and learn more about the organization’s community outreach efforts.
Based in Flowood, Mississippi Life Alliance describes the Porchlight Initiative as a program focused on building community connections and providing support to families across the state.
