Magee High School will host its annual Open House on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to welcome students, parents, and community members ahead of the new academic year.
Families will gather in the school auditorium for a principal’s greeting and important announcements before exploring the campus. The event gives parents a direct opportunity to tour the campus, learn about school attendance policies, dress code, discipline, and grading.
“Open House gives parents the opportunity to meet some of our teachers, learn about expectations, and build relationships before the school year begins,” Principal Duriel Jammal Banks said.
The afternoon aligns with the core values of Magee High: Trojan pride, excellence, integrity, discipline, respect, and the school motto, “Don’t just be, be the best.”
While teachers will share specific school supply lists during the first week of school, the orientation focuses on preparing students to hit the ground running.
“Students you know we care deeply about you and your future,” Banks said. “Come ready to learn, lead, and make this your best year yet. Show up every day, work hard, be respectful, and never stop believing in your potential. All hands on deck.”
There is no designated parking for the event. Families should plan to arrive early to find parking before the initial presentation begins in the auditorium.
